You may or may not have heard that there is a critical patch that is being pushed by Microsoft today.

There seems to be vulnerability with the server service. Most home machines will not use the server service but if you have or have ever had a file share on your computer then you probably have this service renabled on your Windows based computer

Oh, and judging by the hype and scrambling it would be very prudent to patch this as soon as possible. fast install, one reboot and your are safe.

    1. You are right most home users doesn’t even use their computer as a home service but even if the users don’t have a home network using a computer as a primary server they should install it as a precuation.

      I’m so glad that cell phone users don’t have to worry about these security issues. My new favorite pick for cell phones right now is the Krave. I’m especially fond of the touch screen display, but a full list of features is available online at motorola.com/krave. I have been a big fan of this phone ever since I started working with Motorola.
