Congrats on being selected for the Mars settlement! I am somewhat familiar with Mars, having gone on a brief and insanely expensive summer vacation there, and I have to tell you, the thing to look out for is "Red Sky Effect."

I thought the red sky would be really pretty, but myself and about 40% of my group hadn't gotten our Light Spectrum Biochecks done in time for the trip (they let us go anyway, thank god!), and about 24 hours into the tour, we reacted psychotropically to the spectrum. It started with this feeling of having a racing mind, lots of thoughts too fast, and then I couldn't help it, I just went berzerk. We came to in the ship sick ward in restraints (this illness is pretty intense, haha!), and I was surprised to see so many of us had come down with it.

So definitely get your Light Spectrum Biochecks in beforehand for each family member, because everyone reacts differently to the light! Have a good trip!
